Mr Davenport is an Honours
University Graduate with 22 years full-time
practice as a Chiropodist and Podiatrist.
He treats the full spectrum of foot conditions, inherent in those of more mature years, and in the very young.
Patients
today quite rightly expect the most comprehensive, expert and
up-to-date treatment, underlying a caring
and
holistic approach. Of prime
importance, of course, is the
alleviation of pain and discomfort accompanying
foot problems without delay.
Mr. Davenport is a full member of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. He holds a Post Graduate U.K.
University Research Degree in Podiatric Medicine. He is a strong advocate of continual professional development.
At Masters Degree level, from a UK University, he
has satisfied the examiners in "Pharmacology for
Podiatrists", and
following a UK Government examination, has been
granted the Prescriptions of Medicine
qualification.
He is thus able to supply antibiotics,
pain-killers, etc... directly to patients where
necessary.
He is qualified, (post-graduate) in
Cryosurgery (a "freezing" technique, with Nitrous Oxide as the agent, which is
patient-friendly!), Biomechanics and Orthotics (biomechanical assessments, and the prescription and fitting of
orthoses, insoles etc...), Sports
Injuries (in which he has a particular interest), cosmetic nail enhancement, and
Medical Electrotherapy.
Foot Dynamics, Infection Control, Wound Management, The Rheumatoid Foot, The implications of Diabetes; neuropathy,
pathology, prevention of problems, signs of vascular infection and the mechanisms of foot ulceration are naturally of considerable importance in his Practice.
He is certified in the use of local anaesthesia, where appropriate for surgical procedures, which he undertakes.
